The Satyanarayan Puja is a religious worship of the Hindu god Vishnu and the other God aswell. Satya means “truth and Honesty” and narayana means, “The highest being KInd” so Satyanarayan means “The highest being able towards Kindness who is an embodiment of Truth”.Vrat or Puja means a religious vow, religious observance, or obligation. Hindus throughout perform Sri Satyanarayan puja Vrat for the divine blessings of health, wealth, prosperity, opulence, education; relief from troubles and sickness. It can also be performed because of success in business, life, future employment or career growth; during social functions like marriages, house-warming ceremonies, naming of the children and so on.
The ritual worship of Lord Vishnu God or Sri Satyanarayan Puja is generally performed on a full moon day or Purnima of every month or week as well as some good achievement or on any special occasion such as achieving a milestone or fulfilling a wish, as a special thanksgiving to the Godhead of the Hindu Trinity Culture.
The months of Purnima, Bhado, Kartik, Vaisakh, Shravan and Chaitra in the Hindu are ideal for this ritual. It can also be observed on new moon day once it moon shin or on a Sankranti – the beginning or end of a Hindu month ever of every year.
